Tasting Evening

Thursday 26 February: Welsh Wine and Food Evening!
With St David's Day on 1st March we felt it was an excellent time to try some Welsh wine - and in particular some that we know is exceedingly good. Richard has produced some fine wines for us up till now and we certainly expect the same of him with the current vintages on sale. For wines that are different and of low 'food miles' come along and try! 18 places left (as of 2 Feb)

New on the shelves:

• La Cafetiere kettles now on sale, electrical as well as stove top.
  Two types - one called the Cotswold kettle, in various colours, with an enclosed element in the base and an anti-scale filter to reduce build up in hard water areas.
  The other is the only model of its kind on the market - the Aqua Optima electric water filter kettle which has a rapid boil, a 360° multi-directional base, cord storage, a 1.7l capacity. It comes complete with an Aqua Optima double life filter cartridge which, at 60 days, is the longest life water filter cartridge available. The unique fast flow filtration system removes up to 95% of lead, 80% of chlorine and also reduces levels of herbicides and pesticides, which can remain in water after boiling.
• Ciroa dinner service. Bone china dinner service, designed in Australia. Currently got one design on show and for sale so that the 'look and feel' of this range can be appreciated. Other designs are available and they don't need to be purchased as full dinner services, plates, bowls etc can be bought in combinations to suit you - have a look at the catalogue next time you're in the shop. If what you require is not in stock we can order these for you to arrive within approximately 5 days.
• To complement the dinner service we are also stocking wine glasses and tumblers. Again we will build on this range and offer a wider range of glasses if this is what our customers require.

Eureka Foods - range of chilli sauces:

• "Asia's Finest - chilli sauce" - a fiery sauce which combines Bird's Eye and Habanero chillies with garlic, ginger and crushed lime leaves in a rich tomato base. Superb with seafood and noodles.
• "Caribbean Hot - pepper sauce" - a classic recipe bringing together famously hot Habanero chillies with onion and bell peppers for a fruity finish. Delicious for chicken fajitas.
• "South American Smoked - chilli sauce" - this deeply smoked chilli sauce blends Mexican Chipotle chillies with adobo sauce for a truly unique flavour. A must for meat lovers!
