Abingdon traders lead the way on countywide ‘greener’ business scheme
Added Ingredients is taking part in a waste audit as part of their commitment to the 3 Rs - reduce, re-use, recycle
Traders in Abingdon’s Stert Street have been shown how they could cut more than 90 per cent from the cost of getting rid of their commercial waste. 11 Stert Street traders took part in a pioneering initiative to see if introducing waste-cutting measures and recycling more could produce significant cost and waste savings from small shops and businesses in one street. Now free waste audits are being made available to more Oxfordshire businesses.
25 July 2008: Bothy Vineyard Wins National Trophy
An Oxfordshire Vineyard has made national news by snatching a Trophy at the English and Welsh Wine of the Year Competition. Sian and Richard Liwicki received their prize from Lord Montagu of Beaulieu at the House of Lords on Tuesday 22 July in front of an audience that included 8 Masters of Wine and the likes of other top names such as RidgeView, Nyetimber and Camel Valley vineyards.

We have boxes for the first two charities in the shop and all tips and those pennies that people don't want get put in the boxes - for which these charities are very grateful. We also collect envelopes with stamps on that are collected regularly by Abbey Centre volunteers.
